Trend to Try: The Statement Sleeve

Statement earrings, statement rings, statement clutches and shoes. The list goes on. Let me introduce you to the statement sleeve. This is a trend that everyone should try. And, the best part is, you can purchase it in long sleeve, short sleeve and many different material choices. Maybe it’s just me, but it seems like the older I get, the less I like sleeveless. I NEED to have SOMETHING on my arms, so I’m glad the statement sleeve is trending.

Balloon sleeves, cutout sleeves, embroidered and sheer all add to this trend, but possibly my favorite way to wear it is the ruffle sleeve. It’s flattering on virtually everyone, and it can be done as big or conservative as you would like to wear it.

Whether it is a ruffle sleeve or a cutout sleeve, a statement sleeve is best worn with a simple bottom, which allows the sleeves to be the focus. I love wearing mine with my favorite jeans or a pencil skirt with booties.

Recently, I styled my favorite Tibi ruffle sleeve sweater three different ways to show you how you can pull off the look flawlessly.
