Reasons Why Gingham Isn’t Just For Southern Preps and Picnic Tables
Be honest. Have you ever, in your life, worn gingham other than a preppy Vineyard Vines-type button down?
Gingham has come a long way, thanks to new designers, like Caroline Costas and Rosie Assoulin. These designers have happily incorporated it into their Spring ’17 collections. And with designers creating some gorgeous pieces (that don’t feel so preppy), I want to encourage you to give gingham a try this year.
My tip for you: Remember, gingham is a print that can go overboard very quickly. But, the amount and dosage is key. Small gingham prints keep you super chic. Or, small accessories with gingham are just enough that it doesn’t overpower the outfit, but gives the look a little whimsy.
I recently found this super fun gingham dress and styled it while in Sea Island, GA for a conference.
Also, be on the lookout for the March issue of Charlotte Mag. I styled a gorgeous model in an amazing gingham dress that you won’t want to miss.
