Take Me There: NYC
Since I am headed to NYFW next week, Erina Pindar of SmartFlyer, and author of our guest post series, “Take Me There” sends over her faves in NYC.
Here are Erina’s top picks for your next visit to NYC:
Mine! The west side of SoHo. It’s only blocks away from TriBeCa and West Village filled with amazing restaurants and shops.
BEST SPOT FOR COFFEE
Bluestone Lane. They have the best Flat White outside of Australia.
BEST LUNCH “ON-THE-FLY”
Cafe Gitane. I’ve been going here for as long as I can remember. They have the best avocado toast in the city, great coffee, and delicious French-Moroccan fare.
DINNER WITH FRIENDS
The Left Bank in the West Village. It’s always cozy and warm with the nicest people serving you delicious comfort food and solid cocktails. It’s not flashy and just the perfect neighborhood spot for long leisurely dinner with friends.
The Musket Room. The gorgeous dining room is just the beginning. They serve beyond delicious New Zealand food.
OFF-THE-RADAR PLACE TO STAY
The Lowell Hotel. The hotel is intimate and discreet, and the attention to detail is second to none. It makes you feel as if you are staying at your very own NYC’s pied-à-terre. And for something out-of-the-box, we are loving 1Hotel Brooklyn Bridge on the Brooklyn Bridge Park with sweeping views of Manhattan and a quaint cobblestoned Dumbo.
BEST HOTEL FOR PEOPLE WATCHING
Baccarat Hotel. It’s one of the city’s most glamorous hotels and is the absolute best for people watching. You never know who you’ll see having afternoon tea next to you.
DRINKS WITH A VIEW
The Mandarin Oriental Hotel lobby bar has the best view in New York, hands down. Grab one of the coveted seats by the window and look over Central Park and Columbus Circle while you sip your cocktails. And for those summer months, head up to the Met Museum rooftop for rosé and unbeatable views of Manhattan’s Upper East Side.
Y7 Hip Hop Yoga. Do your downward dogs to the beats of a great hip hop playlist, so much fun.
FAVORITE WAY TO SEE THE CITY
From the water, in the summer. I love to grab a picnic from Chelsea Market and take it on one of those vintage schooner yachts during a day or sunset sail.
